About Us

Yotism is a specialist provider and leading training organisation in Neurodevelopmental Yoga Therapy (NDYT), supporting autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent individuals across education, community, and SEND settings. Our embodied approach focuses on nervous system regulation, sensory integration, and emotional wellbeing.

Founded in 2014, Yotism was created to provide safe, accessible, and responsive therapy. Our work is rooted in inclusion, compassion, and trauma-aware practice, meeting individuals where they are and recognising their unique strengths.

Today, we are a growing community advancing NDYT as a trusted, evidence-informed approach. Through partnerships with schools, local authorities, and organisations, we continue to support practitioners, families, and young people—helping neurodivergent individuals thrive in safety, connection, and belonging.

Our approach combines practical tools with deep therapeutic understanding, enabling those we work with to create supportive environments that nurture regulation and growth. We are committed to continuous learning and collaboration, ensuring our work remains responsive to evolving needs. Alongside our training programmes, we foster a connected and supportive practitioner network grounded in confidence, care, and meaningful practice.

ABOUT NDYT

Neurodevelopmental Yoga Therapy (NDYT)

Neurodevelopmental Yoga Therapy (NDYT) is an evidence-informed approach developed by Yotism to support autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent individuals of all ages. It combines developmental neuroscience, sensory integration, and nervous system science with adaptive yoga practices to enhance regulation, emotional balance, attention, and self-awareness. Working through the body to support the brain, NDYT sessions integrate movement, breathwork, and neuro-sensory techniques to improve learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. Rather than focusing only on behaviour, it addresses underlying developmental processes, helping build resilience, engagement, and emotional stability.

Therapeutic Impact

Yotism is a leading provider of Neurodevelopmental Yoga Therapy (NDYT), supporting autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent individuals across education, community, and SEND settings.

Our approach focuses on nervous system regulation, sensory integration, and emotional wellbeing.

Training Pathways

Designed for practitioners, educators, therapists, and yoga teachers, the training builds understanding of autism, ADHD, and neurodevelopment.

ABOUT NDYT

Neurodevelopmental Yoga Therapy (NDYT)

Neurodevelopmental Yoga Therapy (NDYT) is an evidence-informed therapeutic approach developed by Yotism to support autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent children, young people, and adults.

NDYT integrates developmental neuroscience, sensory integration, and nervous system science with the healing art of yoga, using adaptive yoga practices to strengthen regulation, emotional balance, attention, coordination, and embodied self-awareness.

NDYT works through the body to support the brain, strengthening the foundations of regulation and emotional balance so authentic development can unfold naturally.

Sessions combine structured developmental movement, breath regulation, neuro-sensory techniques, guided relaxation, therapeutic sound practices, and primitive reflex integration-informed approaches. This integrated model supports the sensory-motor and regulatory systems that influence learning, behaviour, participation, and wellbeing.

Rather than addressing behaviour in isolation, NDYT supports the developmental processes beneath behaviour — creating practical pathways for greater resilience, engagement, and emotional stability.

Therapeutic Impact

Through consistent, developmentally informed practice, NDYT can support:

  • Stronger nervous system regulation and emotional balance
  • Reduced anxiety and more settled stress responses
  • Improved sensory processing and integration
  • Greater focus, attention, and learning readiness
  • Enhanced balance, coordination, strength, and postural stability
  • Integration of retained primitive reflex patterns influencing posture and regulation
  • Increased social engagement, confidence, and emotional resilience

Deep relaxation and therapeutic sound practices support restorative physiological states, contributing to improved sleep, digestive regulation, and overall physical wellbeing.

Training and Professional Pathways

Yotism offers NDYT training pathways ranging from introductory workshops to a 80-hour fully accredited Specialist Practitioner Programme, with advanced options for deeper clinical development.

Training equips practitioners, educators, therapists, and yoga teachers with:

  • Applied understanding of autism, ADHD, and neurodevelopment
  • Regulation and co-regulation strategies
  • Sensory-informed and trauma-aware practice
  • Structured yet adaptable therapeutic frameworks
  • Skills to deliver NDYT confidently within SEND, education, and community settings

NDYT training offers a structured yet compassionate framework that bridges developmental science and embodied therapeutic practice, supporting practitioners to confidently guide regulation, emotional balance, and meaningful participation.

WHO WE ARE

Supporting Neurodiversity with Yoga

At Yotism, we support children and adults with autism and neurodivergence through compassionate, evidence-informed yoga therapy. Our work bridges neuroscience, sensory integration, and traditional yoga to create safe, effective practices that support regulation, connection, and long-term wellbeing.

We believe that when the nervous system feels safe, learning, communication, and emotional expression can begin to flourish.

From Experience to Purpose

Yotism was founded from lived experience, deep commitment, and a clear understanding of the needs of neurodivergent individuals and their families. Founder Nicole Zimbler began her journey at 16, supporting the SEN community through volunteering with Mencap—an experience that shaped her lifelong dedication to compassionate, informed care.

Through her training in yoga, Reiki, and holistic therapies, Nicole recognised the powerful role of embodied practices in supporting regulation, sensory processing, and emotional wellbeing. As knowledge of autism, ADHD, and neurodevelopment evolved, so did Yotism.

What began as individual support grew into a structured therapeutic approach and, ultimately, a training organisation—empowering practitioners to deliver this work safely, confidently, and ethically.

our approach

What Makes Yotism Different

Emotional and Nervous System Regulation

Gentle yoga practices help to release emotions, regulate the nervous system, and foster calm, balanced behaviour.

Integration of Modern Science and Ancient Practice

We unite neuro-sensory understanding with traditional yoga principles, creating an approach that is both evidence-based and deeply holistic.

Brain–Body Connection

Through Reflex Yoga, we restore harmony between the brain and body, supporting neurological development and enhancing overall wellbeing.

OUR VALUES

What Guides Us

Everything we do at Yotism is guided by a clear set of values.

These principles shape how we teach, how we practise, and how we support those who trust us with their learning and healing.

01

Compassion over correction

We meet individuals where they are, responding with understanding rather than trying to fix or change behaviour. Safety and trust always come first.

02

Regulation before expectation

A settled nervous system is the foundation for learning, communication, and growth. We never demand engagement before the body feels safe.

03

Sustainable Brand Identity

Every neurodivergent journey is unique. Our work honours personal rhythms, boundaries, and ways of expressing the world.

04

Evidence with heart

We combine research-informed practice with empathy and intuition, ensuring our work is both effective and deeply human.

05

Long-term wellbeing over short-term results

We focus on sustainable regulation and development, not quick outcomes. Real change happens gently, over time.
