About Us

WHO WE ARE

Supporting Neurodiverse Lives Through Therapeutic Yoga

At Yotism, we support children and adults with autism and neurodivergence through compassionate, evidence-informed yoga therapy.
Our work bridges neuroscience, sensory integration, and traditional yoga to create safe, effective practices that support regulation, connection, and long-term wellbeing.

We believe that when the nervous system feels safe, learning, communication, and emotional expression can begin to flourish.

OUR STORY

From Experience to Purpose

Yotism was born from lived experience, long-term commitment, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals and their families.

Founder Nicole Zimbler began supporting the SEN community at the age of 16, volunteering with Mencap to provide respite for families of children with profound autism. That early experience shaped a lifelong dedication to supporting those with diverse needs — not through quick fixes, but through patient, informed, and compassionate care.

As Nicole trained in yoga, Reiki, and holistic therapy, she recognised yoga’s powerful ability to support the nervous system, sensory processing, and emotional regulation. Over the years, as understanding of autism, ADHD, and neurodevelopment expanded through science and research, Yotism evolved alongside it.

What began as individual support grew into a refined therapeutic approach — and eventually into a training school — created to empower others to deliver this work safely, confidently, and ethically.

OUR APPROACH

What Makes Yotism Different

Yotism is not a general yoga practice adapted for autism.
Our work is purpose-built for neurodivergent minds and bodies.

Neurodevelopmental Focus

Every method we teach is designed with an understanding of neurological development, sensory processing, and regulation.

Integration of Science and Yoga

Our approach combines modern neuro-sensory knowledge with time-tested yogic practices, ensuring our work is both evidence-informed and holistic.

Sensory & Nervous System Regulation

We prioritise safety, rhythm, and predictability, helping the nervous system settle before expecting engagement or expression.

Trauma-Informed and Autism-Aware

We work respectfully with difference, never forcing compliance, and always honouring individual thresholds and needs.

OUR METHODS

The Work We Do

We provide forward-thinking, eco-driven companies with the strategy, tools, and technology they need to grow
faster, work smarter, and make a meaningful impact .

OUR VALUES

What Guides Us

Everything we do at Yotism is guided by a clear set of values.

These principles shape how we teach, how we practise, and how we support those who trust us with their learning and healing.

01

Compassion over correction

We meet individuals where they are, responding with understanding rather than trying to fix or change behaviour. Safety and trust always come first.

02

Regulation before expectation

A settled nervous system is the foundation for learning, communication, and growth. We never demand engagement before the body feels safe.

03

Sustainable Brand Identity

Every neurodivergent journey is unique. Our work honours personal rhythms, boundaries, and ways of expressing the world.

04

Evidence with heart

We combine research-informed practice with empathy and intuition, ensuring our work is both effective and deeply human.

05

Long-term wellbeing over short-term results

We focus on sustainable regulation and development, not quick outcomes. Real change happens gently, over time.
